Camp 2010

On the 7 week of term 1 over 3/4 of the Pukekohe Intermediate school year 8 students went to the Totara Springs Camp. We left school at 7:00am but had to be at school at 6:30! It was great fun going to camp and we did heaps and heaps of fun filed activities, some of the activities took determination and a great load of courage! There are two parts of camp. The upper camp is dry activities and the lower part is wet activities!

In the upper camp the activities we did were crate climbing, Ab sailing, rock climbing and archery and initiative games. We also did the hydro slide, went in the heated pool and played spotlight. My favourite was ab sailing because it was really freaky but awesome!

In the lower part the activities we did were The Canadian slide, water rafting, the bridge jump and basic first aid. We also went eeling, cooked our on dinner (2 sausages and 3 potatoes) and cooked damper and marshmallows. My favourite was the bridge jump/ cliff jump because it was just plain awesome!

On the last day we did a mix at the top camp we did d.a.r.e., cup staking, relays, flying fox and burmatrail. We also played on the playground most days when we were on the top camp.

I had great fun and would love to go again!
